Storm Cowl

This time last year I released matching hat (Claiseach) and fingerless mitts (Dromanach) patterns. This year I’ve designed a matching cowl! This was exactly the pattern I needed to start the year with. It’s relaxing, it’s a super quick knit and it was easy to write! Pleuch combines two garter stitch columns with twisted rib edges and lots of stocking stitch in one deliciously textured pattern.

Knit in DK yarn, pleuch tapers from the bottom to the top so you have a lovely snug cowl around your face to keep out the wind, while it’s still easy and comfortable to wear around your shoulders. I knit mine in Eden Cottage Yarns Brimham DK, which is a beautifully soft and bouncy yarn. This colourway is called Pollen and it’s got the most beautiful golden flecks running through it!

I’ll be releasing a matching sock pattern this summer, so you can keep warm from head to toes! Keep an eye out for it in August!

You can get 25% off Pleuch with the code PloughSale until 11.59 pm (GMT) on the 1st March 2022. The pattern is also on LoveCrafts and Etsy!

If you want to find out what I’m up to between blog posts you can keep an eye on what I’m up to on Instagram, or come join me on Patreon for 50% off new releases and to find out what I’m working on for the next few of months!

If you’d like an exclusive 40% discount on future releases sign up for my newsletter – I only send out emails when I release a new pattern or am having a sale, so usually, you’ll only hear from me about once a month.
