I have been looking forward so much to knitting more shortie socks – they’re all the fun parts of knitting socks (toes and heels) with none of the boring bits (the leg!) I knew I wanted something lacy because we’re thinking summery and I added the rib to give the edges a little more stability.
Tweedle is a Scot’s name for a weaving process called “twilling” which creates diagonal ribbed effect in the fabric. I thought it was the perfect name for my diagonal ribbed socks!
