Dìleas – Faithfully Loyal

Speckled socks with a wide diagonal stripe with a textured pattern mirrored across each footIt’s been an adventure getting this one ready for you! We did a photo shoot on Monday (because I forgot to block my socks in time for the weekend – oops!). Then when I was selecting and editing photos on Tuesday, a weird windows bug wiped all the photos from my computer. Of course I’d already deleted them from my camera too, and they hadn’t been on the computer long enough for my auto back ups to kick in! Yesterday was a busy day as we managed to squeeze in a new photo shoot and I did all the photo editing, got the photos into the finished pattern, uploaded them everywhere and got the newsletter ready!

Are you also sweltering in the heat today? Socks and fingerless mitts are the only things I can think about knitting in this weather! My Greystone cardigan just needs a sleeve but I can’t knit with that huge pile of DK weight cardigan in my lap just now!

Dìleas means faithful and loyal, which seems appropriate for my fourth sock pattern using this stitch! This one is similar to Gràdh but with a single large stripe across each foot. It’s a really easy intuitive knit once you’re started. It’s perfect for speckled yarns and semi-solids and some of my testers made amazing socks with self-striping yarn!

If you’ve already bought the Socks in Love eBook, Dìleas is on it’s way to you now! Or you can buy the patterns individually and any pattern purchases made will be discounted from the collection price so you’ll never pay more than the maximum price for the ebook.

If you want to find out what I’m up to between blog posts you can keep an eye on what I’m up to on Instagram! If you’d like an exclusive 40% discount on future releases sign up to my newsletter – I only send out emails when I release a new pattern or am having a sale, so generally you’ll only hear from me about once a month.
