Aisneach Hat

Meaning “ribbed” in Scottish Gaelic, Aisneach is a simple but fun hat pattern designed to show off any yarn to its best! It features textured ribbed columns wrapping around a third of the hat, giving beautiful texture while still being a simple and quick knit. Make a fitted beanie or a looser slouchy hat, whatever suits you best. Combine with the matching cowl, fingerless mitts and socks to stay cosy all around!

The pattern is fully written instructions and also includes a photo tutorial for a super stretchy cast on called the Estonian Cast-On for the brim of the hat. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos.
