I used @edencottageyarns.bsky.social Hayton 4ply for my Assilag in this gorgeous Thunder colourway. The yarn is a merino, cashmere and nylon blend so it's warm, soft and surprisingly hard wearing. But you could knit them with almost any 4ply or sock yarn. My testers used a wide range of yarns and colourways and and you can see them all on my blog!

It's my first pattern release of the year! Meet As

It's my first pattern release of the year! Meet Assilag. Named for the Storm Petrel, Assilag features a gorgeous feather cable pattern that stretches between the top and bottom cuff of the mitts. It's super fun and will fly off your needles!

Assilag has 6 sizes from XS to XL and are a fantastic unisex pattern. Knit them with at least 1.5 cm of negative ease for a beautiful fit!

For my Cuibhrichte Hat and Cowl, I used @edencotta

For my Cuibhrichte Hat and Cowl, I used @edencottageyarns 's gorgeous Pendle DK. It's a fantastic 100% merino, soft and warm and stunning! This gorgeous colourway is called Faded Bloom.

My testers have used a range of different yarns to knit the other sizes and I'll have them up on my blog very soon. Both the hat and the cowl are one skein projects perfect for that souvenir skein!

It's release day! All the way back in 2019, I designed fingerless mitts with a dropped stitch braid, and now I'm releasing the matching hat and cowl!

Cuibhrichte Hat has six sizes, from Toddler to large adult and there's instructions to make it a beanie, a slouchy fit or to adjust it to your perfect length!

Cuibhrichte Cowl has two sizes - child and adult - and slopes gently from the bottom to the top so you get a cosy close fit!
